Christophe Rhodes figured out how to do a portable and maintainable single stepper for SBCL (in contrast to the CMUCL's "grovel over machine code" approach), which I've been playing with recently. Fun stuff, hopefully mergeworthy soon — should be on par with the Lispworks' much vaunted stepper, I hope.

I've picked up work on linkage table for SBCL again, and while the current issue is as cryptic as ever, I'm still vaguely optimistic on getting things into working order for 0.8.14 or 0.8.15 — but then again, you have lies, damn lies, and open source schedules...
